We're growing the team! Archer Western, a member of The Walsh Group, is currently seeking an Estimating Information Specialist to join our Water Group in Phoenix, AZ.
The Estimating Information Specialist will provide support to the project team, as well as our vendors and subcontractors.

Responsibilities
Acquiring, integrating, and managing all of the engineering and design documentation for the Estimating Department, from conception through completion of the Bid.
Review drawings and notify Estimating staff of changes, such as bid date extension, drawing replacements, areas of impact, etc.
Manage and act as the liaison of the subcontractor outreach programs to all subcontractors and suppliers, both large and small businesses (in coordination with compliance, as it relates to small and disadvantaged businesses)
Inform and monitor teams of secure document procedures, as required on projects.
Conduct preliminary reviews of Prequalification submissions from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure completeness, prior to financial reviews from the Accounting Department. This review includes ensuring all fields are completed as required, and assisting the subcontractor with any system-related needs.
Management of Smartbid system. This includes ensuring the database is kept up to date. Assist subcontractors with updating their information and access to the site. Work with the bid teams to develop and send out ITB's, providing access to subcontractors for the bidding documents.
Maintain expertise in computer and software skills
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize responsibilities
Proficiency in SmartBid software preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Newforma, Sharepoint
Ability to read blueprints and other construction documents
Honesty and dependability; a team member who contributes to group collaboration
Engages in the sharing of information, strong active listening skills, and collaborates/involves others
Timely completion of tasks
Strong decision-making skills and must be solution-oriented
